The Weigh Down Diet: What is it About?
We all know better now than to jump on any fad diet bad wagon, but when the Weigh Down Diet has been going for over a decade and has helped hundreds of thousands of people it is impossible to ignore it. Stop following food and follow Jesus instead is what the slogan of this new diet to hit the UK shore lines is.
On first impressions this can be quite confusing. How is Jesus going to make me thin? How can this succeed where all else has failed? These are just a couple of questions that ran through my mind when I first came across this diet. But on deeper inspection I realized that the diet does not boast that it can shift however many pounds in however many days, it testimonial is saying that it can help you with the root of your problem.
One of the main reasons why many people are overweight is that their life evolves around comfort eating. They try with many diets and when these fail to show results, the person ends up depressed and starts eating again to combat that stress.
Why people start comfort eating in the first place is from any number of things. As dramatic as a lose of a loved one, to as little as a bad hair day. Everyone has one of those moments, using food to try to cure the depression is just wrong though as it is only temporary.
The weigh down program forces you to ask yourself questions such as, Why do you eat? Have you let food control your life? Even people who are happy with their weight can ask these questions and realize that food does play too big a role in their lives.
At last though, a weight loss program that is aimed at tackling the source of obesity and not just the focusing on the cure. Although there is a very strong emphasis on religion, you do not have to be religious to understand what this program is explaining. Which is, replace the need in your heart with love in your heart. In other words, feel fulfilled and you will never have to overeat to fulfill your heart again.
The Weigh Down Diet has been very successful. As participates are given the strength to resist food through the love they have elsewhere in their life.
